To be fair,
I think that she was trying to say that the 22-year old fellas and young ladies just now graduating from college didn't predict that there was going to be a recession and a lack of jobs for them after graduating.
Which is true, and it makes sense to sympathize with people in that situation, because they were simply following advice from their parents and councilors and many older (supposedly wiser) people whose judgment they respected.
That being said, her being right about young people not predicting the reality in store for them doesn't excuse the fact that everything else she said was nonsense and will make things worse for those young people she pretends to care about.
