If you are a dwarf and spring up full grown out of the ground, then natural birth might be based on land. The land gave you birth!

Else, naturally, your birth is by your parents, real people, and in a state of nature without government, that is who you are part of as a family, kin, tribe, clan, people, country.

Jus soli is completely artificially, and requires government statue to define the idea, the boundaries, etc.

Jus sanguinis is what is found in nature.
