Sadly, these neocon usurpers of the Republican Party
(via Fox and friends) have convinced millions of Americans that "patriotic" means "pro-war." The Mirriam-Webster definition of PATRIOTISM: "love for or devotion to one's country." That would be the U.S.A., defined by our Constitution. To be devoted to America is to be devoted to our Constitution - its protected freedoms, balance of powers, protocol for going to war, and other stipulations designed to keep the federal government in check.
The neocon usurpers of the Republican Party have convinced millions of Americans that Ron Paul's foreign policy is ISOLATIONISM: "a policy of national isolation by abstention from alliances and other international political and economic relations." Actually, it's NON-INTERVENTIONISM, a policy whereby a government does not interfere with the political affairs of another country. (Think Golden Rule.)
