Comment: Michael, I know all of this
Michael, I know all of this
Michael,
I know all of this what you write and many of the things that you mention are definitely disturbing, but I have to disagree on few points.
First of all, you write: "Nowhere has he [Ron Paul] said he's fighting to get a speaking spot" at Tampa. Well in this sentence the question is what do you mean by 'fighting'? What does it to mean to fight for the speaking spot. RP's fight has always been Gandhi-style, never bull-horn style a la Alex Jones or Jesse Venture, etc. What is sure is that Ron Paul WANTS THE SPEAKING SPOT at Tampa. That he has said in many occasions. And he wants as many delegates to Tampa as possible and who knows....
You also write: "I'm not going to live in illusion....Sorry guys, time for another red pill. Time to free your mind and see reality for what it is." The reality is that (does one live in illusion or not, or who lives in illusion and who does not live) Tampa is very near and whatever happens there will reveal who lived in illusion and who didn't. Even if RP's chances would be very slim to get the nomination it is still a dream which is worth dreaming and as long as that dream is there, that dream of the miracle of Tampa True Believers dream it. After Tampa we will all see who was living in illusion. Less than 40 days to Tampa.
Is the REALITY (realism) to see that there is NO CHANCE of Ron Paul to get his speaking spot, change the minds of the delegates with speech of his life time and to shake up the Convention? That is not the reality. The reality is that there is a very little chance that this could happen, but it is there and as long as we see that this chance is there the more that opening is still possible, even if it remains a very slim possibility. Delusional would, of course, be to think that Ron Paul has a very good chance to be become the president. But the reality is that strange things happen all the time.
