Throw a bone to his social conservative voters? So Judicial activism and legislature by the judicial branch is okay? I assume that you are talking about Roe V Wade when you say throwing a bone to social conservative voters.

It is by Johnson's own admission that he plays off the various interests when he says he arrived at his positions and beliefs because "most Americans are social liberals and fiscally conservative." This demonstrates a lack of concern and understanding of the principles of liberty.
