corporations may already exist but they require continual propping up and protectionism by the state. As that protection is stopped those smaller minions within it will jump ship. To maintain a private army requires a lot of $ and that requires state confiscation, slavery, and centralized "money" presses. No system involving humans is perfect but the capacity of individual psycho power seekers to kill/harm on a massive scale would be greatly reduced and eventually neutralized. This would require the masses of people to understand the lie that government is their protector, overcome 12 years of government "skooling". And THAT is the point YOU do not get. Power corrupts. Even "good" men, given the monopoly of aggression against their fellow men can make bad judgments and mistakes thinking they are doing something for "the greater good". Hand that power over to corrupt and evil men (who well understand where that power lies and will stop at nothing to get it) and you get what we are living under now. Your basic premise that the state protects the powerless is wrong.
Never seen "Lord of the Rings"???
