But it has been found to be dangerous

for some people. Fluoride can damage soft tissues (brain, kidneys, and endocrine system), as well as teeth (dental fluorosis) and bones (skeletal fluorosis).

The problem is the dosage, but it can all stem from the water. Processed dry foods that have been prepared with fluoridated water can cause a double dosage when re-hydrated with more fluoridated water. There are now suggestions that drinking more than 8 glasses of water a day is better for you.

A combination of all the wrong things can lead to health issues from fluoride, but it shouldn't be that people need to watch their water intake. It makes more sense to not add it in the first place.
