Comment: Maybe we do have a King
Maybe we do have a King
Well, if I am understanding things correctly...Hamilton wanted life-term positions for the President, Congress, and Governors...If you read Patrick Henry on his disagreements during the ratification of the US Constitution http://www.wfu.edu/~zulick/340/henry.html regarding loosing Trial by Jury . Search on Trial by Jury in that document and see what Patrick Henry (give me liberty or give me death) had to say. Then look here http://www.barefootsworld.net/trial02.html#p20
And here: http://www.lysanderspooner.org/node/35 and you will see that Trial by Jury is what took the right from the King and gave liberty to the people. We as much as gave up that Trial by Jury right and have been educated to not even know it. It least that is what I am understanding after spending a lot of time talking with Josf. He gets marked down a lot, but I have learned a lot.
So basically I would say we do have a king hidden by a straw man in a “balance of power” which is supposed to be regulated by constitution, however it seems our side of the contract is not represented.
Anyway, wasn't it Jefferson that said something to that effect that when policies never change that the government is no longer its own entity but controlled. I can't remember the exact words or if Jefferson is the right man, that is just the gist.
Oh well, my rant. Let me know if I have something wrong. Bless you Granger.
