John 20:17 KJV

Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

How were these thieves to be with Jesus in paradise that day if after even he was ressurected, Jesus states He still has not ascended to His Father. Anothernobody is correct in the placement of the comma. The comma should be after today, not after thee. This is a very common misunderstanding in Bible translation which has mislead many to believe that when you die, you go straight to heaven or hell. There would be no need of the Second Coming if this was the case. We must let the Bible define itself.
