Ron Paul doesn't understand liberty and is anti-libertarian?

He used to hold this typical libertarian view as regards borders and immigration, but moved away from it years ago to support securing the borders and advocate immigration laws and no amnesty - given the situations we find ourselves in with our current national security (as a result of our foreign policy, etc.), welfare programs/abuse, and various other matters.

If those are resolved, well and good, but otherwise I have to agree with him - and disagree with you as I feel he and I both have fairly libertarian views and a love & understanding of liberty.

If our failed policies were addressed properly, though - I'd have to agree with a love of free movement and immigration. End the drug war, end our antagonistic foreign policy, properly resolve our entitlement systems...and maybe a few other things...and watch the border problem in large part fix itself.
