He started a central bank, the USDA, raised a federal income tax, regulated the press and communication, controlled transportation.
He looted the properties of the rebels, so-called. Besides bringing about the death of 700,000 and thousands of wounded, all for nothing but a crazed dream. A dream that cost a fortune and led to the first US Bankruptcy in 1872.
He destroyed the republic and replaced it with a federal union. Just as Hitler did to the Weimar Republic in 1933.
