It gives the big picture to what the situation is and actually provides a big picture solution...or at least part of a big picture solution.

The situation: Yes, there is a global empire movement that is uses good ol' fashioned British Imperialization techniques...and the USA is a big part of it.

The solution (or to put a dent in it): Since the empire is reliant on its subjects, if its subjects stop watching the empire's media, stop consuming empire's goods, etc. The empire will shrivel. But frankly, as this very article says, if there is any resistence to the empire, the empire will send in the "Marines" to get rid of the troublemakers. So this defiance of the empire has to stop all at once to overwhelm the empire's military. Small pockets of resistence will be easy for the empire to overcome. There has to be one massive strike. That require massive coordination.
