Comment: Mexican's have become America's scapegoats,
Mexican's have become America's scapegoats,
as Doctor Ron Paul once said.
I am not justifying illegal actions by any means. Illegal immigrants ARE indeed... illegal. But the people in the Liberty movement need to start looking beyond the surface of the propaganda. We are expected to hate "them", those who come here and "take our jobs"! We need to start asking why and then to follow the money. Same with the wars. Why Americans die fighting illegal wars in the Middle East? Perhaps because of corporate interest? I suppose we should know the answer to this by now, and we need to do a bit of a root cause analysis of the "illegal immigration" problem.
NAFTA, the tariff-free North American trade agreement, was established by President George H. W. Bush. The American/Monsanto heavily subsidized, very high yield agriculture was producing enough to feed the world. When America began exporting CORN to Mexico, the Mexican govt had its hands tied on putting any tariffs on American corn because of NAFTA. This killed much of the Mexican agriculture. As a result, many Mexican farmers (3,000,000) lost their jobs and faced a simple choice - 1) to watch their families starve to death, or 2) to go to America and work for minimum wage.
No one would risk his or her life to spend many days and hundreds of miles on foot in a HOT desert, if those people were not FORCED to... We now have a choice to treat the symptom, or to treat the root cause of this real problem. I say that while we deal with the symptom, we also start working on the root cause. Or we will led to continue to support a total police state, which is the ultimate goal of the elite.
