Absolutely correct Rick. We've been co-opted.

Your post is very intelligent and observant.

The subtle way we were led into the pen of obscurity is heart-breaking.

For 2 days straight I saw it here in Washington State at the republican convention (I was a delegate).

Oh sure - we kept our cool and even Kirby Wilbur (the establishment GOP convention chairman) thanked us for "staying civil" (as they screwed us out of most of the delegates here).

I saw that not as a compliment but as more of an insult.

This whole campaign season has reminded me of the Jews going quietly aboard those trains to the "showers" in Nazi Germany.

If this sounds too radical for anyone's sensibilities, then too bad. It simply is the truth.

I don't see a lot of difference. And believe me - Now, NOTHING is going to change in American politics no matter which stooge is elected in November.

We've been de-fanged and dismissed by the republican party.

It was one hell of a job they did, but I'm done with them.

If I stay political at all, I'll be joining the Libertarians.

After I write-in Ron Paul in November, I'm more likely to go back to my 34 year history of not voting at all.

The system is too far gone.

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
