The strategy you mention that your son implemented...

Was the strategy laid out by Ron Paul and his campaign. i.e. to take over the Republican Party from the bottom up, committee by committee. By attacking his campaign in the way you and others do you attack Ron Paul and you cut the ground from under your own feet.

It may be emotionally satisfying to lay the blame for what you see, notwithstanding your protestations to the contrary, as defeat, at the door of the campaign but it has been stated on here numerous times that war is always conducted by deception and there is no doubt that this is a war. The campaign has done what it had to do to win the nomination. Why do you think that the Romney camp have been so desperate, why they have cheated and lied? They knew they were being outmanoeuvred by the Ron Paul campaign and those supporters like your son who were doing exactly what the campaign had trained them to do.

We shall not know the truth of this war until it has been over for a time. In the meantime each and every supporter had to do the very best they could where they were to carry out the strategy of the Ron Paul campaign and join the Republican Party in its many offices.

Then there were those who began to attack the campaign especially those associated with the rEVOLution media. They began to do so when the campaign decided to tactically change direction. It struck me as significant that the attackers were media practitioners. It is perhaps a question of their personality type that they are so willing to act precipitously and thoughtlessly with little regard for the consequences of their words and actions. For that they must hold themselves responsible and not others.

Being experienced communicators it is no surprise that they inveighed against the campaign effectively and caused untold disruption and loss of momentum. Then of course they blamed the campaign for this loss. Rather than follow the lead that Ron Paul was signalling they determined that their way was better and gathered around themselves kindred spirits to resist what Ron Paul was doing and to build their case against the campaign for refusing to do things their way, with predictable consequences.

We are now at the end of the road for this particular nomination battle. It has been turbulent and I know that I have personally learnt a lot in the process. Tomorrow will be an important day to watch out for what God is doing. I believe that it will be a day of great encouragement for the rEVOLution and the next week will result in the nomination of Dr. Ronald Ernest Paul as the Republican candidate for the Presidency of the United States. Given the way in which it will have been accomplished it will be clear that it was all by the grace of God.

God bless you Rick.

"Jesus answered them: 'Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.'" (John 8:34-36)
