It's one of my favorite
It's one of my favorite topics.
It's not just about specific words.
It's a general scheme of dumbing down and betraying the language itself. In all tongues, not just English :
works by emptying the words, stripping their meanings out, or maintaining the confusion between sometimes vastly antagonistic words.
Example :
rights /= entitlements.
Guess who profits best from this scheme ? POLITICIANS, of course. Duh.
Oh, and Tosh.O, too (for the fun part)
Not to mention the complete disregard or disdain for History, Economics, etc.
And on, and on, and on.
But Thank God, if one knows how to dig the WWW thoroughly enough, it's a most precious source to fix one's own ignorance.
It's just homework. You can do it good or bad. But some people don't even bother doing ANY of it (a big proportion of OWS being a recent example *) and confuse knowledge acquisition with enjoying the plot of Robin Hood movies and alike.
P.S.
* At least if I can judge for myself on some Daily Paul's threads !
