Back on topic, re: "democracy".
You know, it's sort of funny, if it were not quite sad, in fact...
As of today, I'm literally AMAZED that so many people in our modern societies STILL HAVEN'T figured out about a SCAM ON WORDS ... even older than the SCAM of the Federal Reserve itself.
The SCAM involves the LOOSE relationship between THE NOUN, DEMOCRACY, and THE ADJECTIVE, DEMOCRATIC.
A REPUBLIC likely implies DEMOCRATIC voting processes :
by which SHOULD BE ONLY MEANT that SOME PEOPLE vote, SOMETIMES, for their to-be-elected representatives (candidates) on SOME ISSUES.
This is, by wisdom, A WEAK ASSUMPTION :
you should NEVER REQUIRE that it's EVERYBODY voting ON EVERYTHING, ALL THE TIME ! Still, that is DEMOCRATIC, in the strict sense, as opposed to having only ONE KING or ONE BLOOD LINE NEVER CONSULTING the People ON ANYTHING.
Hence : Republic => (implies...) DEMOCRATIC processes. And THAT'S IT !
Republic /= (not equal) Democracy ! Because Democracy's ideal is PRECISELY TO PUSH this to an extreme : TO GIVE THE VOICE TO ALL THE PEOPLE ALL THE TIME, ON ANYTHING.
But, since, for practical reasons, IT IS NOT POSSIBLE, Democrats find the compromise of MANIPULATING THE MASSES, instead. To generate a MAJORITY.
This is where THE PURPOSE AND DESIGN of the system DEFEAT THE INTENT :
the People have THE FALSE idea that their voice is INFORMED ENOUGH while IT IS **NOT** because THE MAJORITY CAN BE CRAFTED BY THE CORRUPTION OF POWER THEY HAVE PUT, TOO CONFIDENT AND RECKLESS, AT THE TOP.
This is why an ideal Republic should always be cautious with the extent and relevance of the democratic processes it picks up.
History has given us MANY EXAMPLES OF DEMOCRACIES turning into DICTATORSHIP :
... do I need to add more ?
I will never, EVER advocate for Democracy. I'd rather get a King and hope for the best in the blood line not being messed up.
DEMOCRACIES serve best the CROOKS, THIEVES, THUGS, MOBS, who ONLY AIM at climbing the ladder above the masses to ENSLAVE them.
I am still DUMBFOUNDED on how not many more people haven't realized that yet, in 2012 !
'Hope this helps.
