Here's the thing... I didn't like him because of the word "liberty". I liked him because of his proven credentials and most of his positions.
So okay, he's not a libertarian. I still like him and think that he has a much better chance than Obama or Romney of starting to turn things around.
Not to mention that whether or not I wanted him as president, it would help expose people to the "liberty" enough for them to go look up ron paul and the cause of liberty themselves due to the national debates and it would help us gain leverage in getting a true libertarian as the nominee in the GOP for the sake of the takeover.
So far, no one has been able to invalidate the strategy.
