To me, if you buy into the idea that the wars
are about terrorism, and think the troops are "keeping us safe," you are either a duped neocon or a slick talker like Rand, and who knows WHAT slick talkers will do once they get into office.
Johnson might oppose the wars for financial reasons but apparently, he has bought into the bogus rationale for being in the Middle East in the first place.
He also said he stood by comments to the Weekly Standard the he might support waging war for humanitarian reasons, saying he would not "sit idly by and watch something like the Holocaust go down." He also stated that while he thought drone attacks create more enemies than they kill, he would not necessarily stop the drone attacks against Pakistan or Yemen, leaving all options on the table.
