As long as we keep the argument alive, we can strengthen our own philosophies. Being able to draw contrasts between Ron Paul and the "similar alternative" allows us to strengthen and narrow our message. I supported Ron Paul because I agreed most with his political and economic philosophy, being so willing to accept a perceived "alternative", no questions asked, is being willing to dilute our message.
