Thanks for asking for clarification. It is a sign of intelligence to admit when one is ignorant(lacking in a specific knowledge) and seeking out that knowledge when the need arises. Many people are reluctant to admit ignorance of some topic because they incorrectly think ignorance/ignorant is a synonym of words meaning low intelligence. No shame at all in being ignorant, only in knowing one is ignorant of knowledge that is important or necessary for ones needs and not correcting that situation. All humans will live their lives being ignorant of most knowledge because there exist far too much knowledge/information for any human to assimilate/retain and it is not practical nor necessary to seek knowledge one would never need until all the needed knowledge is retained.
