I suppose you would suggest
being a Communist Party member if that were the "winning ticket" or the Nazi's in 1930's Germany.
The primary political problem is the two party system. Merely changing who holds the reins of power in either political party doesn't change the system. A third party won't be more virtuous than the other party, but it serves as a check on the other parties. This is how and why the founding fathers created the three branches of government and not two branches of government.
