It sounds like the FBI was looking for a recruit to spy on Occupy. Occupy must be a bigger concern to the FBI than the Liberty movement. That's reassuring :).The 16 year old should have asked, "how much are you paying?" It would have added an extra dimension to the conversation. Why should the FBI expect the kid to be doing possibly dangerous work for nothing?

What were the dynamics of handing in a paper in high school that was read by the FBI? Did the teacher have friends in the FBI? The kid did get a good grade so it wasn't as if his teacher was hostile toward him or the topic on his paper. We hear about little boys who get into all sorts of trouble because they draw a picture of a gun. Some schools hand that over for an inquiry by social services as policy. Is there any such program for older students who write or draw things that aren't mainstream?
