Drop the Controversial Issues Which Needlessly Divide

In order for the Libertarian party to become more mainstream, the Libertarian party MUST drop some of its more controversial issues, e.g. promoting abortions and state recognition of homosexual marriage. The Libertarian party would be very smart to strike any mention of such controversial issues from their platform. Leave these controversial issues for the Libertarian candidates to address. Any Libertarian candidate wanting to be elected should simply leave these controversial issues to lower levels of government or private parties altogether.

It almost appears like certain elements within the Libertarian party want it to remain a political side show.
