Those Who Vote on Principle on All Possible Options That Count

I would fit in the category of someone who would vote on principle on all the viable options on the ballot. In my state that would mean I would study and choose from all who are on the ballot in my state plus any who are approved for write-in votes. In my state only "approved" write-in candidates get counted and Ron Paul is not one of them. Had Ron Paul been approved as a write-in candidate then I would vote for him (a no-brainer). As it stands now I am looking at either Virgil Goode (Constitution Party) or Gary Johnson. I am currently leaning towards Gary Johnson.

My theory is this: If everyone studied and voted for who they thought the best person was (regardless of so-called "chances to win") then the press would have NO POWER over the voters. There would be no "2-slot" cattle chute with which to herd the voters (As in the "D" Chute and the "R" Chute).
