O'Reilly Disagrees with Non-Interventionists
What really happened is that one of the guests of O'Reilly in this particular segment said that the reason why Muslims hate us is because of our interventionist foreign policy. O'Reilly asked her when did this start and she said it started when the American government and the CIA took down Mossadegh of Iran in 1953 and replaced him with the Shah. So far so good. But then O'Reilly answered back that the Russians, Chinese, and Japanese have done far more terrible things and they are not hated as much as America. Incredibly, the guests did not challenge this assertion by O'Reilly (which is easy to debunk actually).
So this particular segment gives more reason to "hate" O'Reilly and mainstream Muslim commentators who cannot or will not defend a non-interventionist foreign policy.
