Comment: Ron Paul: "Repeal 1913"
Ron Paul: "Repeal 1913"
People ask me all the time "if it's so important why doesn't Ron Paul talk about it?" My response is usually "are you kidding me? Ron Paul, who took heat and ridicule from his critics for 30 years teaching the public about the Fed, is gonna advocate removing every citizens "right" to directly elect US Senators? It's political suicide to run on a repeal the 17th platform in front of a public that is by and large uneducated about the subject. Ron would say something like "It's much easier on me, and so it doesn't become a distraction tool by the media, for me to just say "repeal the entire year of 1913" and let you guys explain it all to people who don't understand what that means.
