Are you kidding?

Only 2% of the economy is at minimum wage? What part of the country is your view isolated to? I just took a google maps virtual tour of my small midwest town and took note of the various jobs at the various stores and factories. I would say that it's closer to 25-30%. I have close family members looking for work in many of these jobs and others that work in them now. Of our 6 kids and their spouses and friends (maybe 30 people total), every one of them knows when another one gets a raise before the minimum wage catches back up to them.
