Why? I voted for him in 1988. As an Iowan, I went to the Ames Straw Poll and voted for him. I spent many hours on the phone (hating every minute of it) as the Ron Paul precinct captain before the January caucuses gaining support for Dr. Paul, and got up in front of the caucus crowd and gave the pitch for Dr. Paul (hating every second of it!) which we won with 33% of the vote (Romney was a distant 2nd at 21%). I was a Ron Paul delegate to the county, district and state conventions. I've been a libertarian for as long as I can remember. I donated to Dr. Paul's money bombs until it hurt. I put up 4'x8' yard signs. I talk about libertarian ideas whenever I can. I put out RP brochures at the local post office and library and gave them out whenever I could. I attended county Republican meetings and served on the credentials committee. I do whatever I can, whenever I can, for the freedom movement. I list all of this not to brag, although I'm proud of my efforts, but to say...
...I haven't done all of this just to vote for someone else in the end!
