That's what they did to me, yelling and banging on my windows.

But I couldn't tell what they were saying. I had no idea who it was, so I grabbed a rifle. The last thing I thought was that they would be police.

Normal people don't bang on your windows and yell outside your house, and you wouldn't expect professional police to do that either. That's something you might expect a criminal to do.
