benefits in the industry! And have never furloughed anyone (except for two people back in the '70's, who they immediately rehired!) .... they have managed to keep a profitable company through smart management, and all while competing with many airlines who have now become more competitive because of bankruptcy protection... a luxury Southwest does not have (their crime... of course, is not going into bankruptcy!). Rising fuel costs, rising fees, rising taxes on the industry.... all this has been a reality... and their employees have not taken a pay cut, or lost their jobs.... in fact they are constantly hiring people! There is a reason Southwest has become a power player in the industry, and there is a reason Northwest went under.... get your facts straight.
