I agree but appointing Ron chair of an inherently corrupt institution (where he can be overruled by the other members) doesn't strike me as the solution. As Ron himself would say, the Fed will fail even under the best of circumstances. It is bound to "overshoot" either in the direction of inflation or deflation.
Nobody, even Ron, can "plan" the money supply. Abolition of the Department of State is not first on my list of agencies to abolish and, more importantly, someone like Ron at the helm can actually accomplish tangible goals such as peace treaties, etc.
