Sub-replacement fertility in developed nations wreak havoc on economies.
Unless you want the developed nation to fall, you do not want sub-replacement fertility.
There are only two realistic approaches to saving the environment.
1. Mass deaths.
2. Better education -> better technology -> better chance finding sustainable use of natural resources.
Option 1 will happen if we do nothing and will likely happen anyway. Option 2 can only happen in a functional economy.
I just wonder which option those in power have chosen for us.
