This reminds me of a Mark Twain quote, "It's much easier to fool people than it is to convince them they've been fooled." haha.

I know how you feel though buddy, my parents are pretty much like that. Back in 07 or 08 my dad couldnt stand Ron Paul, my mom even told me he flipped off some Paul supporters when they were waving signs at the corner like an a-hole.. now I can say he is a neo-con in recovery and he even posts pro Ron Paul stuff on his facebook now and then. There is hope, just keep hammering away! Peace.
