How do you know that?

That the fires had nothing to do with the collapse of building 7. What makes you think they were "few"? Have you read the fire dept statements and transcripts which state the fires were 4 alarm upon arrival and got worse during the day? "They were all over the whole area" one fireman stated, referring to the fires in the huge gouge in the south side, at least 20 stories high. And that was early in the day. Those fires most certainly could have played a role in the collapse.
And as for your main point, since we can see 7 getting pummeled with smoke laden debris, and since every building that received major damage from 1WTC falling also caught on fire, it's not at all a stretch to think the collapse of 1 started those fires. It would be a stretch to think they didn't.
