Ted Butler has picked up

Ted Butler has picked up exactly where Jerome Smith left off, except...

Jerome Smith, the King Silver of 1960's through till 1980, calculated back in the 60's that silver supplies were limited and that in the very near future silver supply would be exhausted by demand. Exactly the same line you'd hear from Ted Butler. Jerome Smith would likely have only been a minor success had it not been for one man in particular that picked up and read his book. That man, Herbert Hunt, had a pocket full of money and after reading Smith's book, "Silver Profits in the 70's" began buying silver along with his brother Bunker Hunt. Had it not been for these two brothers, silver would likely never have reached the heights it did in 1980. Certainly silver would have gone up just as gold went up without being manipulated. But silver's rise was due to blatant manipulation due to the Hunt brother's "corner". The Hunt Brothers were kinda funny...after being warned to stop buying, no order to sell what they had but to just stop buying, they couldn't resist. They were like kids in a candy store, never enough. They kept buying until they were ordered to sell. And as they say, things always end badly for the manipulators...

Move forward to the mid 80's and we find Jerome Smith's fame in the gutter after a decade of continuous prediction of a silver comeback (again due to it's low supply), a new book "Silver profits in the Eighties", and his prediction of silver price being multiples of its 1980 high, during the 1980's.

But as Jerome Smith faded, another took his place, Ted Butler. Butler uses the EXACT same argument of supply/demand, but he adds a twist to Smith's story: The reason prices have not soared is because the large Banks are manipulating prices down. Without that one simple change, Ted Butler is just another Jerome Smith, selling a story line that never occurs. Without the "manipulation" argument, Ted Butler would be right where Jerome Smith is right now...where ever that is...

That missing factor for soaring prices is not due to manipulation. The missing factor is another "Hunt Brothers". Wasn't somebody "influential" recently begging the Miners to "corner" their own market?.........
