Given that politicians attend at tax payer expense I don't understand why supposedly fiscally conservative people want to not talk about this - or want to talk about it but tell everyone else to shut up about it.
Shouldn't have to leave it to leftwingers to ask questions like this:
“The Irish people have a right to know what their senior Ministers are saying at a meeting like this, and what stance they are taking on global issues.”
It's elitism plain and simple. It's the idea the the populace shouldn't be told what's going on because they wouldn't understand that annoys me.
