Much of this critique of the two being the same is the fact that the American people are very united on some issues.
Yes, both are pro war on drugs; so are most Americans.
Yes, both are big government; so are most Americans.
Yes, both are interventionists; so are most Americans.
Yes, both are strongly pro-Federal Reserve; so are most Americans.
And of course, there are differences even among the consensus. Does anyone disagree that gay marriage is more likely to be permitted under an Obama administration? Does anyone really think we'd have left Iraq and be winding down in Afghanistan if McCain had been president? Does anyone really think that OBama wants to hit Iran as much as Romney does?
Won't Romney pledge lower taxes? Isn't he more likely to have lower spending? Isn't he more likely to increase corporatism?
