Comment: The collapse
The collapse
The collapse can come in many forms. The worst being a full on "everyman for himself" type civil unrest. the best case, A slow decline of the standard of living for almost everyone.
It all comes down to the rate of "awaking" VS the rate of inflation. so if people quickly wake up en mass and austerity hasn't started... then its a best case scenario. If most people continue with the stockholm syndrome type mindset of being dependent on the government until austerity hits... well then it's going to be VERY bad.
I personally believe that when the currency collapse happens and austerity talk starts, the dependent type people(obama phone lady) will get angry, protest will turn into riots, riots into supply disruptions, so on and so forth until the government declares massive emergency actions in major cites to stop it. once that happens all hell will break loose. 3 months of this and the world we know will be a much different place.
Regardless of what happens... its best to be prepared for anything. You should have at least 3 months of food and water and a basic set of survival supply and tools.
Tools of war are not always obvious. The worst weapon is an idea planted in the mind of man. Prejudices can kill, suspicion can destroy, and a thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has an everlasting fallout all of its own.
