I have to agree.

Christmas trees ARE merely a cultural tradition. If you don't like them, fine. But those who do put up Christmas trees are doing so because they want to have a manifestation of their celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.

Pagans today do not have "Christmas trees." Those who do are either Christians or those who want to cash in on Christian sentiment.

In my opinion, Christmas celebrations are one of the things that are RIGHT about America. Acknowledgement of the importance of Jesus Christ and a general spirit of joy, charity, and beauty. The commercialization will be greatly reduced when the economy crashes, but I hope the spirit will remain.
