Wrong, of course. You've probably been reading too much Hislop. You do know that Ralph Woodrow recanted his book Babylon Mystery Religion, and by implication Hislop's work?

And question: if catholicism was so chock full of paganism, why did pagans persecute it? Why did Julian try to re-establish paganism, if it was all there in the church? Why did no pagan ever raise the critique back then, rather than us all having to wait for a few gentleman scholars with too much time on their hands, and too much imagination, in the 19th century?
