Federal government has no authority under the Constitution - as per (very clear) original intent as signed by the States.
They have NO AUTHORITY to be doing 90% of what they are doing to "promote the general welfare" in this way.
State and local governments are perfectly capable and AUTHORIZED under the Constitution to try regulatory agencies to address the general welfare of their OWN PEOPLE.
This way if the program:
- does not work as intended
- causes unintended consequences to life, liberty and property
- becomes corrupt
- becomes unmanageable
- drains the pockets of the people more than can be sustained or tolerated
- becomes infiltrated by criminals and psychopaths that become parasites too intrenched to uproot ..
THEN the program does not bring the entire country down with it.
THEN the people of that State have easier recourse to deal with a government that is local and more accountable
THEN if the State becomes to unbearable to live in ...
People will move to a State that is more bearable
Thereby draining State tax dollars, commerce and revenues from the State governments that screwed it all up.
That is the way our country was originally conceived to work.
Tell them that.
