This afternoon I attended a faculty meeting about the Core Curriculum which is the next phase after No Child Left Behind. It is brain washing at it's finest. All instructional goals are being changed. Functional reading, using mathematical reasoning to solve problems and make decisions in every day life. No science, no history. They have even rewritten Bloom's Taxonomy. The writing is on the wall, from kindergarten on students will be tested and monitored and thier future will be predetermined. They will enter college or a job training school (or prison should they fail to obey authority or have an original thought probably) Students are being prepared to compete in a global (socialist) society. We all know that unemployment and student debt are the real problems or is that just part of the plan? Creepy!!!
