If you see an honorable person who needs help, it is within your means and you choose to help, then by all means give a helping hand.
Dennis, on the other hand, is a well meaning "do gooder". when he sees another human in need, he demands that everyone should disregard the person's previous actions and beliefs, forget about our primary obligations to ourselves and loved ones, and sacrifice to give the needy person aid.
Dennis is by far and away my favorite Democrat and his sincerity and honesty are beyond reproach== but his philosophy of forced charity is a contradiction of terms and flat out wrong.
I do not like to call those who disagree with me my enemy, but if the actions they pursue and the philosophy they promote deny my freedom and that of my children and children's children, then at the very least, they are not my friend.
I'll take my Liberty, it's not yours to give.
