I think he is brave to cut military spending. New Mexico was built by the Department of Defense. He sees first hand what is spent on the military because he governed a state with three Air Force bases, White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) a rocket range of almost 3,200 square miles (8,300 km2) in parts of five counties in southern New Mexico, which is the largest military installation in the United States. There are two top secret nuclear design facilities, Los Alamos and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. These labs are the largest scientific and technology institutions in the world.
