Regarless of man's calendar,

Regarless of man's calendar, the Winter Solctice ("Christmas") always falls on the same day, as does the Spring Solctice ("Easter").

These "dates" on the Calendar are determined by the positioning of celestial bodies, not dates on a calendar. They were the same 2000 years ago as they are today.

Christmas is the day the Sun "dies". Easter is the day it returns to life, the rebirth of the Sun. (the 3rd day after Christmas is a day of resurrection, due to the Sun's movement stopping on the Winter Solctice, then once again beginning to move on the 3rd day.)
