Comment: America is not a democracy!!!!

Never has been, and hopefully never will be. If you check this searchable copy of the Constitution:

You'll find no mention of "democratic." "Republic," however, is mentioned at least twice.

We need checks and balances against the mobocracy just as much as we need checks and balances against the power-mongers.

Democracy: "Let's all vote on what everybody's favorite color is!"
