Re: nurse practitioners: It's just an impression I'd gotten from that office about 2 years ago. I think these nurse practitioners must feel their job is always in jeopardy. The patient is the recipient of this fear. I'm very good at reading people. Like I said, it's a gut feeling. They have a high turnover rate there. It was time to take my business elsewhere. I drive 45 miles to my old doctor in the city I used to live in. I'd been going to that same doctor's office since I was a teenager. My doctor there likes me and as a bonus, she also likes Ron Paul.

Have you tried to get a sedative for your dog's storm anxiety lately? When my dog became crazy afraid of thunderstorms all of a sudden, my vet explained that because of drug laws, vets don't feel comfortable supplying sedatives for dogs now. My dog now has a Thundershirt. The thundershirt is not perfect, but at least my furniture is not being destroyed by a frightened dog.
