Regarding education...I bet you could trace the downfall...
...of the quality of education in the U.S. directly to the creation of the Department of Education - which should be abolished.
My belief is that their main goal is to make sure American students DON'T learn about the Constitution, our founders, the American Revolution, civics and the principles of liberty.
I'm not sure a candidate with the socialist agenda of Obama could have ever been elected president without the Dept of Education and their influence on teachers, young students, cirriculum and universities.
