Mike - I DO know
I've watched sausage making in legislatures for the past thirty-five years. If you just sit back and complain that all compromises are bad and, as a a result, refuse to do anything, you will get what you asked for.
WE have gotten an IRS that will not be able to be reversed next year when Obama Care goes into 100% effect. The national sales tax ideas have been around since I started to look at them thirty-five years ago. But no one would support them because they might turn out to be "bad". So, now the IRS will become the heart of the American government
Dr. Paul got some value out of his audit the Fed law last year, even though aspects of it turned out to be legislation. However, with it, we have more evidence of Fed anti-American tactics than anytime in history. You cannot just sit back and expect things to improve just because the new idea might be distorted.
